AI Workflow Opportunity Planner
Build an illustrative AI business case for one workflow. Check the prerequisites, compare current effort with a proposed change, and take a brief back to your team. Your inputs stay in this page; no email is required.
Bring one recurring problem into focus. Estimate the work involved, check six practical prerequisites and download a brief to discuss with your team.
Private by design. The planner processes your inputs in this browser. It does not send or save your business inputs. You choose whether to share the downloaded brief.
Your planning scenario
A starting point for the conversation.
These are modeled monthly estimates based on your inputs. Confirm them against real work before deciding what to implement.
- Baseline effort
- Projected effort
- Capacity change
- Capacity value after operating cost
One-time cost recovery:
Read the formulas and limits
Baseline hours = monthly volume × current minutes ÷ 60.
Projected hours = monthly volume × (review minutes + exception rate × extra exception minutes) ÷ 60. Review time applies to every item; exception time is additional.
Net capacity value = (baseline hours − projected hours) × loaded hourly cost − monthly operating cost. A recovery period divides a supplied one-time cost by positive modeled monthly net capacity value.
Time available for other work does not itself reduce payroll. These outputs are not realized cash savings, a return guarantee or a consulting quote. The model excludes benefits and costs you have not entered. Include the human oversight, maintenance and changes needed to keep the workflow working.

An estimate is the beginning of a business case.
Use a representative sample to replace assumptions with observations. Include exception handling, rework, training, integration, and ongoing support. A reduction in task time creates capacity; it becomes cash savings only when spending actually falls or an expense is avoided.
Readiness questions are a transparent planning aid developed by Clairvance. The result is not a validated diagnostic, security review, or investment recommendation.
A promising opportunity deserves a closer look.
Bring your assumptions and the process behind them. We can help you test the business case and choose a useful next step.
